a listmaker

I love lists!  I love the nice clean organized look of a list.  I make lists for everything, complete with bullet points.  My sister used to make fun of me for my incessant list-making.  One time she came to visit me at college, and when she left I found a piece of paper that she had entitled, "My dumb list".  It also had three bullet points after it.  Thanks Han.
Here is a list of what's going on with the Dzioba family right now:

  • Micah is crawling around getting into everything.
  • Caleb is finishing watching a truly hilarious Lego movie called Clutch Powers.
  • Mark and I are going to get the kids to bed, then sit around watching TV - basically being as lazy as humanly possible.
  • I am REALLY looking forward to watching Elf.  Isn't that just the best movie ever?
Okay.  This has to be a short list.  I'm getting ready to give the boys their baths.  Let the chaos begin!!

obsessed with scrapbooking

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with scrapbooking.  I love the different textures of the ribbon, the buttons, the flowers, but most of all I love the beautiful paper.  I have way too much in my stash.  I know all about certain collections before they even come out, and I can look at a paper and identify the brand and when it came out.  Nerdy?  Yes I am - and proud of it:)  My favorite brand is and has been for years:  Basic Grey.  The quality of the products is wonderful, and I love the distressed look.  They must have some of the coolest designers ever.  I think that each and every one of my pages has some element from Basic Grey on it.  I'd like to post some more pages.  These are some I submitted to Creating Keepsakes a while ago.  None of my pages have made it into their magazine, but I'm confident that I will get at least one page in there someday!
Here they are:
This one is from my sister's graduation from college.  It was also Christmas time, so I used some poinsettia stickers.

This one was taken at our Bible study's Christmas party several years ago.  I scrapbooked this layout to talk about how much these two friends mean to me.

This page has pictures of my adorable little lion on it.  He came back from the nursery at Bible study with his face painted.  It was so cute, that I just HAD to use some new Sassafrass paper to scrapbook it:)

(In case you were wondering, I am working on figuring out a better way to photograph my pages.  I do realize that they look dark and a little grainy, but, hey, I'm learning.)

Thanks for reading and happy scrapping!

third time's a charm

I am way too excited about this whole blogging thing.  This is my third post today!  I promise I will not do three posts every day.  It is just so fun to share ideas and photos, and it is so much easier than I thought!  In the future, I suppose I should wait until the end of the day and just blog about the whole day.  I have a lot to learn as far as blogging and taking pictures for my blog:)

This has been a pretty uneventful day (except for me getting some really cute ribbon at Hobby Lobby and Micah only taking a 35 minute afternoon nap), so I'll just write a general list of some things I am enjoying right now.

Right now:
1.  I am loving the Christmas cards!  It is so fun to see pictures of friends and family and hear about their lives this year.
2.  I wish I lived on Christmas Lane.  I belong there among people who are crazy about Christmas.
3.  I am practically drooling over the two Archiver's gift cards sitting in my purse.  I wonder how long they'll sit there...
4.  I have several ideas for scrapbook layouts dancing through my head.
5.  I see a new gift under the tree, and it's addressed to me!  Should I shake it?
6.  My darling baby is needing some attention, so I need to run.  He is so incredibly soft and cuddly!  I definitely don't mind playing with him (and having him pull my hair) for little bit.
Good night!

every five minutes

I was so excited about my new blog that I had to post another one right away to see if it still worked!  I also wanted to post a pic of my adorable boys.  Here is another recent layout that includes a picture of Caleb and Micah:

a little bit of me

I'm so excited!  This is my debut into the world of blogging.  I created this blog mostly to share my scrapbook pages, but I'm sure I will also have to brag a little bit about my wonderful family.  Did I mention how excited I am?  To kick off my new blog, here is a recent double layout about the first snowfall of the season:

Thanks for reading!
